Erotica shot by Steven Klein and styled by Carine Roitfeld. A tribute to McQueen and his genius. Brilliant shots, amazing styling, what more can you ask for.

And it works like this, you can have any of the letters printed in a Prada t-shirt. Great illustrations and an amazing idea. What letter would you pick?

H&M Autumn/Winter 2010/11

In Clothes, Shoes, Shops on May 28, 2010 at 10:31 pm

Yesterday H&M presented their new Autumn/Winter collection in Lisbon at a really nice location where everything was displayed really nicely. Today I went to their showroom to get some pieces for an editorial and had the chance to photograph some of the pieces that will be hitting the stores in months to come. I still have more pieces to show but basically I felt that there were 3 major styles/trends going on with the collection. A very strong Chloe inspired one, with nude and caramel and brown, soft colours slightly inspired by Stella McCartney of the early years and a bit of the latest Celine show. A second one based on 70’s hippie thrift store clothes, with big colourful chunky knits, heavy coats, loose tops, it sort of reminded me of a life in a wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere and a third one that is very dark and quite punkish with lace and safety pins and some line drawn prints that is basically black. The shoes and the accessories in general were quite a good surprise, the quality seems to have improved a lot and the colours and combinations are really quite good and appealing. I know the summer is yet to arrive properly but I am looking forward for some of these winter delights.

More Jewelry

In Jewellery, Personal on May 28, 2010 at 10:17 pm

Some more vintage and new beauties that are now a part of my collection. Kara Ross necklace, vintage Art Deco gorgeous long earrings, vintage Chanel earrings and my vintage leopard necklace with matching earrings. Some truly great stuff, I am currently obsessed with jewelry. Just received some other new pieces I will be posting soon and I think I made my mother develop an addiction for vintage pieces as well.

Araki Flowers

These are definitely not the type of images that Araki is known for. Between the bondage and the naked women wrapped in rope it is quite surprising when you are able to find such softness and beauty in his photographs of flowers.

First Issue of Pop Africana

In Magazines, Uncategorized on May 24, 2010 at 8:30 pm

It took a while but it is finally here. The first actual issue of Pop Africana. I’ve contacted them and I am waiting for my copy to arrive. A magazine from New York devoted to African culture. This is one that I strongly recommend, it seems to have interesting content and good editorials, especially when we consider their use of colour both in makeup and styling.

My Computer Broke Down

In Personal, Uncategorized on May 20, 2010 at 8:00 am

This is my justification for my lack of posts lately, my Mac decided to die on me a couple of weeks ago and it is being repaired. Apparently it was brought back to life with no harm to all af my files and is being upgraded as we speak to become a super machine so lets hope it comes back better and faster than it was before. I guess it just decided to take a break and reboot as I use it all they long everyday. This is the reason why I have not really done any posts in a while, so I am apologizing for that. As soon as it comes back you will be able to tell the difference.
