Amazing location for this shoot of Paule Ka’s Spring/Summer campaign. I have to say his new collection feels too relaxed for me, I much prefer the architectural shapes and the play of cutting in the previous ones as well as the mix of fabrics and even the colours. But I guess they have to follow the seasons trends and customer demands. I guess I just expected something slightly different.

Probably one of the nicest 70’s inspired editorials I have seen during the past couple of months. The Farrah Fawcett hair, the big knits, long wallpaper patterned dresses, denim shorts and super pink tacky lips. This one is featured in the latest issue of Tank magazine.

Such beautiful images from one of the loveliest collections for this upcoming spring. Blocks of colour and full pink lips. With the cold days we’ve been having I am kind of dreaming for long sunny days, lots of colour, a hint of a tan and tasty cocktails.

A nice overview of the collections featured in Harper’s Bazaar. I simply adore the location and the colours, feels so fresh and vibrant.

I’m not really in favour of these collaborations that brands have been developing with people who are not designers. However I do like the first dress in this capsule collection that blogger Elin Kling has made for H&M. It will only be available in 10 shops in Sweden.

Just found the work of Marc Weaver on Cargo and I really like it. Through his website you can buy some of his screenprints they are about 100 dollars and most are sold out. I would love to own the one with the child’s head on a profile.

Looking forward to watching this today. The new movie by Sofia Coppola with Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning. I’ve been noticing Elle a lot as she has suddenly appeared in editorials everywhere. Just yesterday I bought Jalouse and there she was on the cover. She looks super young and fresh and always styled according to her age.

Shot by Emma Summerton with a mix of 60’s and 70’s style. Both are a huge trend for summer but you do need to be carefull how you interpret that into your personal style. Not everyone looks great in a super long skirt or back in wide bottom pants and specially in extreme prints. Remember not to go too literal and start doing Farrah Fawcett’s hair, or the disco diva. Some restraint might be needed.

Love the colour blocking and how the makeup makes as much as a statement in terms of colour as the clothing. A great way to use flowers as well and as Spring approaches they do come up more and more as a central element to many editorials. Styled by Katie Shilingford for Dazed&Confused Magazine.

It’s amazing how such simple photographs can be transformed into such a great editorial with layering and cutouts. Although this is the style that Damien has been developing I personally think that it is his best work yet. The colour combinations, the way everything was put together seems easy and effortless as if the photo came out exactly like this from the moment it was shot.
